An example of a frequent math error.

Presented problems:      4 + 3 = ____ + 6

Student error:                 4 + 3 = 7 + 6

Some of us still are not treating the = sign as a balance/equality between the two sides.

Also, some of us don't understand that an equation can be written 7 = 4 + 3 as well as 4 + 3 = 7.

We will be exploring fact families and the relationship between addition and subtraction with regard to equations and the many ways they can be written.

we will continue to identify the central message of poems, stories and articles.  We will focus on characters, their traits and important details/events.  To improve our vocabulary, we will use context clues to determine the meanings of words.
Writing
We will take a narrative writing piece through the writing process of editing our sloppy copies focusing on organization, capitalization, punctuation and spelling.  We will use checklists, peer editing and digital tools to publish these in ...
