We have been busy!

September 10, 2011
We have practiced identifying similarities and differences in some leaves and insects.

We had a quiz on our first five word wall words.  All went pretty well.  The next five words will be included on our first homework packet so we can practice at school and at home.

We've learned that words are made of parts called syllables-each containing at least one vowel.

We've written a letter to our parents that they can read at our Back To School Night this coming Tuesday, Sept.13.

We are learning that sentences are complete thoughts that begin with capital letters and end with a period, question mark or exclamation point.

Mrs. Bordine has to remind many of us to use proper letter formation where we start a letter in the clouds and go down to the ocean/ground and NOT vice versa.
