Leaf creations

We're almost done creating animals using various leaves.  We've noticed the shapes of the leaves as well as the colors.  We've noticed that some have smooth or jagged edges.  We'll be describing our leaf animals using adjectives.  We'll also work on stating an opinion about our leaf animals and backing it up with some facts.  I, for one, am learning a lot about these animals.

Rights, Responsibilities and Leadership Qualities

We are identifying our responsibilities as classmates, family members and citizens of the USA.  We are identifying leaders; how they keep us safe, maintain order and make sure the laws are fair.  Leaders can be patrols, teachers, coaches, parents, principals, Mayors, Governors, and Presidents.  However, we're having more fun learning about the Presidents.  Our class book about Leaders is a work in progress.
