Marking Period Two Focus

Please visit all the tabs on the web page to find out what our focus will be on this marking period.
In reading- language arts, we will work on identifying important details from text, pictures and online. We will use these identified details to determine the central message or main topic/idea of the piece. Capitalization, punctuation and spelling will also be explored.
In social studies we will discuss the similarities and differences of various cultures, traditions, celebrations and human wants vs. needs. We will ask questions as to the role environment plays in all of these.
In science we will work with magnet and motion concepts.

Problem Solving

Thank you to Mrs. Brodsky for sharing some really neat problems with us this past Friday. Problem solving involves thinking about all possibilities and often numbers aren't the problem. It's the way we look at the question! We will be exploring many different ways of looking at problems and explaining our thinking with each other over the next few weeks.
