We are in week three of marking period three. Our geography project is keeping us very busy but it is so much fun. We have learned about physical features and landforms on our continents. We know the difference between physical or natural features and human-made features. We are using a lot of sources for our information. We are writing captions to further explain an illustration. Our focus has been on the USA but all of this practice and note-taking strategies will be applied to our study of RUSSIA! We will narrow down what we want to research.
We have been measuring quite a lot using nonstandard units. (See the picture under the picture tab.)
A major focus over the next few week will be on writing clear and connected sentences.
The Valentine's Day celebration will be Tuesday afternoon for an hour. If you have valentines please make sure there is one for everyone in the class. Please do not send in candy with the valentines.
If your child is inviting others to a party, please do not have him/her deliver them in school unless ALL students in our class are invited. Otherwise send them through the regular mail.
